It's time to start thinking about the Chandler Light Christmas Parade again.
The parade is held in downtown Chandler where Christmas spirit is displayed to varying degrees on our cars and trucks. Some just put a wreath on the front, while others go all the way out with Christmas lights, music, and more. It's up to your imagination, budget, and desire to decorate your vehicle. There are a lot of decorative ideas that can be done and not damage paint. For example, using those suction cups on the window and plugging a string of lights in to a power inverter. Passengers are welcome, so it's a great family event. One time I had a friend and his 2 kids in my car and his kids had a lot of fun being in a parade.
This event started in 2001 when I was with Desert Z Association, then with a club Rich (rv510) and I started, called Datsun Nissan Drivers. With entries from Desert Datsuns in 2009, we won 1st Place Best Lit Automotive Group (WOOHOO!!!).
Look forward to Tech Sessions soon to come up with decorative ideas and get our vehicle able to handle any electrical loads, such as a power inverter.
After the parade, we usually go to a nearby restaurant for food and fun. The place will be determined later.
