The topic of track cars came up at Sakura Garage the other day. I started looking at the Wood Village S30 again. It is probably one of the fastest track S30's out there. Currently this thing is doing mid 59 sec. laps at Tsukuba. Anybody who can get around Tsukuba in the minute neighborhood is flying. The guy is running Solex carbs with a stroked L28. He has some track vids on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/kuni30z/videos

I also found he has a geocities site outlining some of the cars finer details:http://www.geocities.jp/kuni_s30z/
The chamber and godzilla size ports on the head are nuts. He also has the HKS sequential gearbox in it now.

I NEED that HKS sequential gearbox! And this Z is one reasons why I decided to get a Z. Everything on that car is built with a purpose I love it.

Great link. Need to steal some of those ideas.
His car looks a bit heavy too with all that interior stuff, yet still hauls.

Yeah there is some neat stuff on his car. I really like the lightened sheet metal gusset between the diagonal tube(rocker to upper frame horn) in the wheel well and the front door structure. Most guys on Hybrid I have seen only do the tube. I have no idea what class he is running in time attack. I was looking at Redline time attack's rule book and some of the lower classes don't allow you to remove interior panels. Everything has to stay as it was from the factory.
